Jannes Koetsier (1979) graduated from Minerva, Academy of Visual Arts in Groningen in 2003 and later completed the Visual Arts teacher training course. In his figurative work the emphasis is on craft and technique. The paint can be seen and is sometimes emphatically present. His landscapes are painted “alla prima” with a loose and accurate brush stroke. In his outdoor paintings he makes the sunlight glow exuberantly. He gets his inspiration from the contrast of light and color. He belongs tot the QuasiRealists, a group that gives free rein to the imagination.
Jannes Koetsier (1979) is in 2003 afgestudeerd aan Minerva, Academie voor Beeldende Kunst te Groningen en heeft later de opleiding docent Beeldende Kunst gedaan. In zijn figuratieve werk ligt de nadruk op ambacht en techniek. De verf mag gezien worden en is soms nadrukkelijk aanwezig. Zijn landschappen zijn “alla prima” geschilderd met een losse en trefzekere verfstreek. In zijn buitenschilderijen laat hij het zonlicht uitbundig gloeien. Zijn inspiratie haalt hij uit het contrast van licht en kleur. Hij behoort tot de QuasiRealisten, een groep die de fantasie de vrije teugel geeft.
